The ABD Kane County 10 Mile Time Trial Series is a premier 3-race series held in Maple Park, IL, hosted by the Wisconsin-Illinois Cycling Association and sanctioned by American Bicycle Racing (ABR), offering cyclists a chance to test their speed on fast, flat courses. Part of the Mid America Time Trial Series (MATTS), this series takes place at Sycamore Speedway (50W086 Old State Rd, Maple Park, IL 60151), with all races starting near McGough Rd and Ramm Rd. Race 1, the “Dipper,” also part of the Memorial Day Masters Omnium, features a 10-mile course with a unique dipper shape, challenging riders to maintain momentum. Race 2, the “Z,” offers a 10-mile Z-shaped route, testing pacing on its non-technical layout. Race 3, an out-and-back 10-mile course, doubles as the ABR 10M Time Trial National Championship, awarding national championship jerseys (minimum 3 participants per category) alongside MATTS and Rider of the Year (ROTY) points for the season overall. Categories span Open and Women’s Road Bike and TT Bike, including age groups (19-90+), Cat 1-5, Juniors (14 and under, 15-18), and Para Cycling (Upright, Tricycle, Tandem, Hand Cycle), ensuring inclusivity for all skill levels. Awards include medals 5 deep per category, cash prizes for the fastest times overall ($30-$10 for 1st-5th), women ($30-$10 for 1st-5th), and juniors ($15-$5 for 1st-3rd), available on race day or at the season-ending awards party.
