COURSE

The Sycamore Speedway offers 3 routes for cycling races.  All courses start near the corner of McGough Rd. and Ramm Rd. They are blazing fast, flat non-technical 10 milers.

Dipper Route

Start line is on Ramm Rd., just east of McGough Rd. about 1 mile north of the Speedway.  Follow McGough Rd. north to get to Ramm Rd. to the start.  Course is 10 miles long, flat and fast “dipper” shape.

Z Route

Start line is on Ramm Rd., just east of McGough Rd. about 1 mile north of the Sycamore Speedway.  Follow McGough Rd. north to get to Ramm Rd. to the start.  Course is 10 miles long, flat and fast “Z” shape.

Out and Back Route

Start line is on Ramm Rd., just east of McGough Rd. about 1 mile north of the Sycamore Speedway.  Follow McGough Rd. north to get to Ramm Rd. to the start.  Course is 10 miles long, flat and fast out and back on Ramm Rd.

Directions to Sycamore Speedway

Sycamore Speedway (50W086 Old State Rd, Maple Park, IL 60151) is easily accessible from key regional cities, with entrances off Route 64 or McGough Rd near the Winner’s Circle Bar:

• From Chicago (approx. 60 miles, 1-1.5 hours): Take I-90 W toward Rockford. Merge onto I-88 W via Exit 52B toward Aurora. Take the IL-47 exit toward Sugar Grove, turn right onto IL-47 N, then left onto IL-64 W. Continue on IL-64 W for about 15 miles; the speedway will be on your right.
• From Rockford (approx. 30 miles, 40-50 minutes): Head south on IL-2 S toward Sycamore. Turn left onto IL-64 E and continue for about 25 miles. The speedway will be on your left, just past the McGough Rd intersection.
• From Naperville (approx. 35 miles, 45-60 minutes): Take I-88 W toward Aurora. Take the IL-47 exit toward Sugar Grove, turn right onto IL-47 N, then left onto IL-64 W. Continue on IL-64 W for about 15 miles; the speedway will be on your right.
